about

‘I’m Alive’ is the second solo album by UK based singer/songwriter Jinder, released in 2006 via Nottingham based independent label Folkwit Records.

Featuring singles ‘Hill Country’ and ‘Life’, both significant radio hits in continental Europe, the album features authentic country and bluegrass performances from a fabulous collection of musicians from the UK alternative country scene that was burgeoning in the mid-naughties.

Produced by Stephen Darrell Smith, the album received immense critical acclaim upon release, but divided opinion amongst fans, some of whom enjoyed the more traditional aspect of the instrumentation and arrangements and others who felt it leaned too close to mid ‘70s country rock for comfort.
